The trails in the woods East of Monroe Community College have been my friends since I first moved to Rochester in 1994. They reminded me of the Limousin forests. They brought me calm and solace. I have often visited and photographed them. My first American series in fact was photographed there in the fall of 1994. Since then I have photographed them under any kind of weather, in all seasons. Blazing with fall colors, buried under snow, delicately tinted by a multitude of shades of green every spring.
